The information that actually matters day to day — is a storm coming, did the market move, is anything seismic or volcanic worth paying attention to, where's the ISS, what's happening globally — lives scattered across a dozen different sites and apps. Vigil is a single personal dashboard that pulls the live, public feeds worth checking into one place.

• Weather & alerts — current conditions and active NWS severe weather alerts.
• Markets — live crypto and FX rates.
• Space weather — NOAA SWPC solar activity, plus NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day.
• Earth activity — USGS earthquake and volcanic activity, elevated-status alerts included.
• Orbital tracking — live ISS position and satellite ground tracks.
• Global conflict — a GDELT-driven monitor of active conflict activity worldwide.

Vanilla JS pulling directly from public APIs — Open-Meteo, CoinGecko, Frankfurter, NOAA, USGS, NASA, weather.gov, wheretheis.at — no backend of its own, no data it collects. Everything renders client-side, in the browser running it.

This is a personal dashboard, not an early-warning system — treat every feed as informational, not authoritative, and go to the source (NWS, USGS, NOAA directly) for anything that actually matters in the moment. The dashboard itself is encrypted (AES-256, key derived from the operator name and access code) — without them the page is unreadable ciphertext, even in the source.
