Sketches

Not everything needs to become a system. A sketch is not a failed painting.

The pile

Made quickly, on purpose

Small builds that were finished the day they were started. They are listed here as sketches so they stop reading as unfinished obligations — which is the failure mode of keeping them in a folder called "misc."

What is in it

One idea, executed once

Unrelated to each other, related in shape: a single idea, built, not extended.

Haunted Explorer · Deceasedcraft

Two passes at atmosphere over mechanics. Neither became a game. Both were the point at the time.

Space Map

An orbital toy, built well before the orbital mechanics got done properly in Cartograph. The interest preceded the rigour.

Shopping Route · Creative Challenge

A route optimiser and a prompt engine. Both solved their afternoon and stopped.

Four sketches outgrew the pile and got pages of their own: Watch Your Grass (a.k.a. Arm a Garden), Moon Compatibility, Bubble Editor and The Monstrosity.

Why they stay

Kept as sketches

Because a portfolio that pretends every afternoon was a product is lying, and because these were fun — a sufficient reason that does not require a roadmap attached to it. They are not unfinished. They are done.
