A bank balance tells you what's there right now. It doesn't tell you what's already spoken for — the rent that clears Friday, the card payment due next week, the subscription that renews before the next paycheck lands. Ballast puts every recurring bill on a real calendar and projects the balance forward, so "can I afford this today" has an actual answer instead of a guess.
Vanilla JS, no backend, no account, no server to trust with the numbers. Everything is entered and stored locally, in the browser that's running it.
This is a personal budgeting tool, not a bank integration or a financial advisor. Balances and projections are only as accurate as what's entered — it doesn't see your actual accounts, and it won't warn you about anything it wasn't told about.
